It was a calm spring day in my little village. The kind where you'd find everyone milling about in it's pleasant warmth. Though it was a truely great day to be out, I was under a lot of stress with a half-broken wooden practice sword. My friend, Tom, had made an Iron Golem for me to fight. Course it was illegal to do so since Iron was a very rare material in the village. It was to only be used for blocks that didn't cost much to create or tools like a compass.

I screamed vulgarities at the machine as I jumped on it, ramming my oak wooden sword into it's shoulder until I actually pierced it's metal backplate. I hopped off and thought for a moment as the golem waddled towards me for revenge.

"Hey, Tom? Could I grab something from my item stash?" I queried.

"Sure, I guess" He said and took out some fencing.

Tom pent up the golem while I threw my wooden sword off of the edge and took a new one. It was made from the same material, but with a stone serration that I put on it to make cuts easier. Of course, I was used to using techniques like these as I am a sword smiths' apprentice. My only job as of now is fishing. I thought for a second about my career for the agricultural department and how it wasn't holding up as I wanted it to.

As I finished thinking, I darted inside to finish the fight. Tom had built an entire fence wall around the golem and was using a spare piece to torture it. Once I had shut the dor back, the golem threw me across the room. I could've sworn I got a concussion from that because my vision blurred severely. With what little strength I had left I threw my saw-blade sword at the golem. The momentum must've been great since It decapitated the golem easily.

"Well, that escalated quickly." I spoke out.

Tom just looked at me whilst I picked up my weapon, sheathed it, and stuffed it into my sling bag. I needed a new one as this one was torn to pieces with years of use. When I was finished, Tom spoke.

"I've never seen anything like that, the sword." He mumbled.

"It's just one of the benefits of being a sword smiths' apprentice Tom." I replied happily.

Tom had never thought I'd be this good at something I'm still learning. I could tell he wanted one from me. From the look in his eyes, it's all too easy to tell his emotions. He followed me the entire way to the smithy so I could finish forging and reparing the incredulously sharp blade. Once I was finished, I took the sword out to the Item check box and stored it there for the client that wanted it.

"Minepro you are fricking good at your sword thing, make me a sword!!!" Tom screamed suddenly.

"So long as you provide the materials and money." I muttered. I knew exactly what material he wanted the sword made from, and it's the most rare material on this island. I wonder why Tom puts me through situations like this. He'd already made me fight an Enderman and an Iron golem, both using strength and regeneration effects. Now I have to find diamonds for a sword that may not even turn out how he wants. I sighed and headed home for the day.

On my way there, I was stopped by my childhood friend, Macy Freeman. She saw how stressed I looked and really wanted to help as much as she could.

"Hey Minepro, you feeling alright?" Macy spoke first.

"To be honest, no." Was All I said before she took my arm. She led me over to where we just sat and talked. It was the kind of place where you could just stay for hours on end; and the best part was that only we could get up there.

"Okay, do your worst." Macy said with her usual mischievous grin.

"Well," I began. "It started this morning when Tom woke me up. He wanted to show me something and dragged me out of bed, literally. He stopped me at the swordsman’s' center to reveal his surprise. Apparently he had brought in an Enderman and gave it regeneration and strength." I stopped there to take a swig of water whilst Macy absorbed my talk of the morning.

"Jeez, Tom's really getting rough on you." Macy stated.

“No dirt, Sherlock.” Was all I could manage before having to go grab more water.
“Not to mention,” I continued. “All of this fighting day-to-day is seriously wearing me out. I wish he would just stop with it; and worse I have to go get some diamonds for him just so I can make a serrated sword for him.” After that, I stuffed a piece of pork in my mouth and swallowed it with ease.

“That kid’s going to kill you one of these days and he wouldn’t care much, I swear he thinks everything respawns when it doesn’t.” Macy took a drink from her own bottle and continued. “I swear that kid’s a psycho!” I stopped her there

“Macy, give Tom a break. He’s just a little stressed because he picked a bad job and now he needs financial help.” I told Macy.

Just then, a herd of pigs stampeded past us and into the smithy. I sighed, took out some wheat, and led all of them back into their pen. As I was about to shut the gate, a hog sprinted out of the gate and rammed me in the legs. It continued down the path, ramming people out of the way as it wildly ran through town. That hog had to go, and I was the only one to put it down. I took a stick from my bag, this was no ordinary stick though; I had enchanted this stick to be truly horrifying. The stick had the power of sharpness three, and knock-back two on it; quite scary for a stick, a near instant kill with one swipe of it.

I treaded quietly along the soft grass as my boots got wetter with each step. As I neared the forest outside of town, I caught the hog eating something off of the ground; probably seeds or grass. From this distance, it looked no different than a cow. I still needed to take care of it, and with it being this bad; I’ll just have to kill it. I drew my stick and aimed. The stick hit just as planned, an instant kill. All that was left of the hog was a couple of pork chops. I took the chops to the agriculture department and sold them off for some emeralds. I was glad to have some more money, but never really wanted to murder something for it. I guess that’s how the world works nowadays…

*Future* Guide to Horses!!!

WARNING: THE FOLLOWING GUIDE CONTAINS INFORMATION ABOUT AN UPCOMING FEATURE IN MINECRAFT, READER DISCRETION IS ADVISED.

Hello Mineboardians! Minepro here with a helpful guide about a future mob. The horse! Yes, I know, I shouldn't be putting undecided info up on a forum. This is the kind of horse, however, that's currently in Dr. Zhark's Mo Creatures mod. Said mob is being implemented into the game as we speak by Dr. Zhark himself!

TAMING AND SPAWNING...
If you want a horse, but can't seem to find or tame one; then you may be searching in the wrong places or doing something wrong while taming these big beauties. If it's just finding the horse you want, then check in the Plains biomes or maybe an Extreme Hills (or Mountains) biome. Horses can typically be found there quite easily. Just check any area with a lot of grass and few trees.

Once you've found the horse of your dreams, simply hop on by right-clicking said horse. Of course you'll fail and be thrown off your first time, but don't fret, just heal up while staying with your horse (They don't hurt you directly, but the fall from being thrown off can be nasty), then get back on. There's a chance of succeeding every time you remount your equine companion, that increases by 5% with every try starting with 0%. Once you see hearts around you, then congratulatuions! You have made a friend and riding partner that doesn't need food to guide it!

RIDING AND COMBAT...
So now you have a tame horse, but don't know how to control it or get off even. That's easy! To move around, just use your basic movement controls. (Remember, forward is the horse's best direction so try and keep moving in that direction. If you want to get off and put a saddle on to make your horse look better while riding, simply press your sneak key. You'll dismount your horse and be back on solid ground.

You are also just as capable on horseback as you are on the ground. You can still mine, place blocks, fight, etc. but you still need to watch your head in those two block high spaces since, on horseback, you're considered three blocks tall and you will suffocate if you go into a two block high space. Combat is also not quite recommended unless it's ranged and you know exactly where to aim. If not, then you could accidentally shoot your horse in the head and hurt and/or kill it. Swords aren't recommended at all on a horse since close range combat is just as dangerous. You don't take much damage on a horse, but that's only because the horse takes most of the blows. Here's some advice. If you're going t ogo out with your horse and fight monsters, take some armor for both of you, mainly the horse.

Will update once more info is released. If anyone has some they'd like to share, please don't hesitate to leave a post!

What's up Mineboaridians, Minepro and Tom here with another guide!

Do you try to use a Redstone Comparator but you keep on failing? Do you want to create a redstone contraption with Redstone Comparators but you don’t know how it functions? Well we have a guide to help you learn how to use Redstone Comparators.

First, you need to have a redstone contraption to test the Comparator with. It can be a Piston Door, locked Iron Door, etc. Once you’ve thought of a Contraption you want, start building it.

After you’ve built the Contraption you want to test, now we’ll see how the Redstone Comparator works. The Redstone Comparator compares redstone signals A and B. The strength of the redstone signals depends on how bright the redstone wires are. The brighter the wire is, the stronger the redstone signal is. Signal A is to the left of the Comparator and Signal B is to the right of the comparator. If Signal A is weaker than Signal B, the Contraption you built will not be activated. However, if Signal A is stronger than Signal B, the Contraption will be activated.

This can also be done in reverse. If you right click the Redstone Comparator, the Redstone Torch in front of the first two will rise up and become lit. Now, if Signal B is weaker than Signal A, the Contraption you built will not be activated, and if Signal B is stronger than Signal A, the Contraption will be activated.

Also, if you haven’t already, check out the 1.1.3 version of TEMPLE ISLAND!!!

Do you like the Superflat Customization but you don’t know how to use it? Do you want to create a world of TNT and pressure plates to blow up? Are you sick of trying to find certain blocks, but you don’t know the Block IDs? Well we have a guide to help you learn how to use Superflat Customization.

First, do these steps in order: go to Single Player, Create New World, More World Options, and hit the World Type Button once (of course, you should already know that). Once the first few steps have been completed, a Customize Button appears below the “World Type: Superflat” button. When you hit the Customize Button, a new screen appears consisting of the default Superflat layers. At the bottom right of the Layers screen, there is a button labeled “Presets.” When you hit the button, there’s a text box at the top of the screen that you use to customize your world. You will find this in the text box when you start: 2; 7,2x3,2;1;village (the text showing what the preset contains). These numbers in between the semi colons show different values in customizing the world. This is what they mean:

2; - this shows the version number though we’re unsure of what that means.
7,2x3,2; - this shows the Block IDs and how many layers contain that block (reading from left to right, bottom to top[layer number comes before block value like {3 layers of stone=3x1}]).
1; - this indicates what Biome your superflat world will be.
Village - this is one of the several structures that can be generated.

Now that we know what the numbers mean; next, we’ll show you how to use them. Since there aren’t many people know what the version numbers mean, we’ll skip that and explain how to use the Blocks IDs. The default superflat world blocks, of course, are 1 layer of Bedrock, 2 layers of Dirt, and 1 layer of Grass. To get more layers of a certain block, you need to use: a x b. (a = number of layers and b = Block ID. There are also no spaces between the numbers and the x. For example, if you wanted a superflat world with 1 layer of Bedrock (Bottom), 100 layers of Diamond Blocks (Middle), and 12 Layers of Soul Sand (Top) then it would look like this: ;7,100x57,12x88;. (The semi colons indicate the end of the version number and the beginning of the Biome ID.) You also need to remember to use the commas. For example, if you created a world like this: 1;37 but you left out the semi colon it would instead have Block Id 137, which in this case is would be the Command Block.

Next, I’ll explain the Biome ID. If you go to http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Data_values this will bring you to the Data Values Page on the Minecraft Wiki. Scroll down by about ¼ of the page, and you’ll find the Biome IDs. (You can find the Block IDs above.) Here is a list of all the Biome IDs and which Biomes they are: 0 = Ocean, 1 = Plains, 2 = Desert, 3 = Extreme Hills, 4 = Forest, 5 = Taiga, 6 = Swampland, 7 = River, 8 = Nether, 9 = Sky/End, 10 = Frozen Ocean, 11 = Frozen River, 12 = Ice Plains, 13 = Ice Mountains, 14 = Mushroom Island, 15 = Mushroom Island Shore, 16 = Beach, 17 = Desert Hills, 18 = Forest Hills, 19 = Taiga Hills, 20 = Extreme Hills Edge, 21= Jungle, and 22 = Jungle Hills. When you find the Biome you want, simply type the ID into the space to the right of the Block Layer IDs.

The last part about Superflat Customization is the Structure Generation. There are several different structure generations that you can use: village, mineshaft, stronghold, biome_1, dungeon, decoration, lake, and lava_lake. Village adds villages to the Superflat World, Mineshaft adds Abandoned Mineshafts to the world, Stronghold adds Strongholds to the world, Biome_1 enables Desert/Jungle Temples, and Witch Huts to spawn. However, this is only for the Desert/Jungle Hills biomes. Dungeon adds Dungeons to the world, Decoration adds Trees, Flowers, Desert Temples, etc. to the world, Lake adds Water Lakes to the world, and Lava_lake adds Lava Lakes, respectively. You can choose as many Structure Generations as you want to your world. For more specific details go to http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Superflat

I had a dream that night. In the dream, I was in the Nether, alone, without any weapons. Herobrine was standing in front of me with a sadistic smirk on his face. That look caused me to jump and, hearing my own voice, caused me to look down. I was a child and I only had a slingshot with me(save for the ammo). Herobrine summoned Ghasts to spew their fireballs at me and I batted them back at a slow speed due to my child body and lack of muscle. I them hit one of the Ghasts with my slingshot and it cried out in agony. This cry made me tear up because it was all to familiar. I had hit Conscience's mother, and she was still pregnant with his egg. This shot had torn her open and made her fly up to her nest and lay the egg. The poor girl had been pale when I met her, but this was ridiculous!

Next, I was an old man. I was standing at May's grave with an aged Conscience. His age marks were worse than mine. He looked to be in his eighties while I was in my sixties. May's obituary was being read by a particularly young man with dark skin much like hers. As he finished, he apologized for his inconvenience of being late. "It's okay, father. I understand." I said between sobs. "The man pulled back his hood and revealed himself. He had a nearly tamed yet wild haircut that was May's black. His eyes were of my complexion and May's color. He looked as though he had been through some rough times, yet kept his soft expression. "No, it's not. Dad, I'm so sorry. I should've been guarding mom like I was supposed to and I didn't because I was tempted by some stupid creeping girl!" He shouted between sobs. Conscience was the first to react by laying his neck over my son's shoulder and consoling him as best as he could. My son just shrugged him off and told us to leave him alone.

Next It was present day on the surface world of what is Minecraftia. Sky terrain had recently been brought back down and added to the surface as a village. It was my birthday and I had a ring in my pocket. the ring had a small emerald on it with some runes engraved on the inside to give it a mysterious feel. I recognized the text as the writing of the endermen and read it. "Minepro1996 and MD210, July 2, 107". I looked at my deep blue tuxedo and knew what day it was. I headed to the church and got there early. I asked the others if my hair looked okay. They all told me that it looked excellent and they wished their hair would stand like that in this heat. A friend of mine stood next to me with a burgundy pillow. He asked me to hand him my ring and I obliged. He and I chatted for a while until the bells rang and the doors opened. Carly, who was calmly standing behind me began playing "Here Homes the Bride" on her lyre as the flower girls strided up the isle spreading golden rose petals on the red rug that ran the entire length of the isle. They were followed by May who looked as beautiful as ever with a golden-white dress with gold edges and an emerald encrusted leaf style golden headpiece. May stood in front of me allowing me to look deeply into her eyes as she did the same. "Ladies and gentlemen! We are gathered here today to witness the..." I lost focus from there and when he told me i may speak my vows, I practically gave a speech compared to May's vows. "Minepro, do you take Macy to be your lawfully wedded wife?" "I do." I said. "And Macy, do you take Minepro to be your lawfully wedded husband?" "I do." She said yes, I couldn't believe she said yes! " Then I now pronounce you man and wife. You may now, kiss the bride." I happily obliged without hesitation, yet I was slow enough to create a dramatic feel to it. When our lips finally met, it was magical...

I woke up next to Zoey again with the blanket over us. Someone must've came in and seen us laying together without a blanket over us. Knowing the house was cold they lay the blanket over us and went back to bed themselves. I was too drowsy to move so I just lay there basking in the mixed warmth of Zoey and the covers thinking about the dream and the wedding in it. Why did Herobrine not disrupt the wedding? Had he been defeated a little before it? If so, than how much longer did I have before he rose again to kill us all? All of these questions subsided as I once again drifted off to sleep...

One of my shorter fics, but hey... It was just Minepro explaining a dream.
